THE BIG CLASS RACING OFF RYDE, ISLE OF WIGHT

Very similar in many ways to the watercolour of the same scene by Langmaid and also in Maritime Originals & Prints’ collection (see MP 059) though in this one we see the Big Class sporting a variety of rigs. Those familiar with this stretch of the Solent will instantly recognise Ryde pier and churches which over the years have changed little in appearance.
